I haven't read this yet (I know, I know! I'm a bad flist member) but I have to say: the font used for that title is just glorious!

And I shall be getting to reading sometime soon.

Okay, so I don't have time to read this right now, but I am like bookmarking it 'cause I think I love your writing style and-

I saw the words "sign language" used in the same sentence as "Dean", and I kind of think I have to read this regardless of what it's going to be about. 'Cause, Dean and Sign are like two of my favorite things on the planet. Jumbled in there with coffee, music, chocolate and butterflies or something.

Anyway, I actually just wanted to ask, 'cause I wasn't sure but is this story of yours finished? ...I know, I am on spring break and I have plenty of time but I'd rather not embark on something that I'm never going to get to see an end to...

So I am hoping this is a really long one-shot, and not a multi-thing, but I didn't see it say it anywhere, although I am so tired I might have missed it.

Oh well! This story looks fascinating. Will read and share my thoughts, sometime in the near future. :)

I loved reading this! The strong characterization of everyone - even the walk-in OCs was vivid and believable and really fleshed out the story. I liked how you didn't villify anyone and how authentic Dean and Sam were as kids.

However what I loved best was how you paired small plot details, simple words and sure pacing to build the complexity of your world. It really works well from the POV of Dean and Sam.

This is kind of subtly breathtaking. The characterization of everyone, Dean, John, Jim, Bobby, random OCs, and especially Sam, which is unbelievable considering how difficult it is to make characters that age sound believable. I want to quote bits back at you but there are so many and I want to twirl you around and feed you cake and fangirl at you because I've been trying to read something really well written for the last two days but I couldn't find anything until this thing, which is really really fantastic.

This was so beautifully intricate and subtle and just well done. You have an amazing style, and your characterization is spot-on, and your Sam/Dean-while-still-children voices are startling accurate. If you have not seriously considered writing as a job, I would if I were you. You have a serious gift. <3

So I read this a week ago and didn't comment because I was beyond moved and couldn't come up with the words to describe to you how much I loved, no, adored, this fic. The voices were devastatingly perfect - you captured the innocence and youth of the boys stunningly. This was absolutely flawless.

But the real reason I hesitated to leave you a comment was because I had to work up the nerve to ask you if I could podfic this. So, urm, could I podfic this? If not, I totally understand, because either way, this fic is just mindblowing.

Wow. Just wow. I adore your writing style and how you portray young Sam, it was so heartbreakingly sweet and sad and left me with this huge ache at the end of it all! *dies* I just adore this!

My Life's Come Off its Tracks

Here from the podfic, I wanted to say I was intrigued all along to see where things would go. I particularly liked the insight into the deep cruelties kids and adults can inflict on one another without ever realizing the effects of what they're doing, as well as, particularly in the Sam POV, the sometimes hilarious disconnect between what we're focused on as readers and what they are as kids.

The most simple fic i've ever read. But it is stunningly becoming the most beautiful and touching fic I've ever read too.
Not to mention all the feelings are to the core and i cry myself when i'm reading this. That's something i rarely do. I love how you use little sam POV but manage to convey all the emotions that he is including everyone in it. My heart almost break when sam's hiding in the cupboard under a pile of dean's clothes.
It was so sad.
It was really beautifully written and definitely one of a kind. I've never read a fic this simple but yet so powerful and breathtakingly beautiful at the same time.

This story was so wonderful. It made me cry lots of times and painted_pain's reading of it was excellent. (Also, hit my accent kink, but that's neither here nor there.) I'd be interested to see more of this 'verse, like how Dean and John hunt, and Sam taking his ASL knowledge to Stanford, maybe terping for a friend if needed. Or something. *shrugs*
